Bardown Barn
We are a traditional working farm with stunning panoramic views across the High Weald - an area of outstanding natural beauty. At Bardown Farm we have an impressive oak beamed eighteenth century Sussex barn which sleeps up to 16 people.It is made up of 3 separate cottages each sleeping four people plus 2 double sofa beds. In the central cottage The Roost we have a large oak table that can comfortably seat all 16 guests. We have an extra single storey stone cottage, the Calf Shed, which sleeps 4 and can be hired with the barn to allow a maximum of twenty guests. The Calf Shed is an accessible cottage and is suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties or needing to use a wheelchair.

Our Cottages

The 3 cottages that make up Bardown Barn have all been tastefully converted throughout with masses of original oak beams, splendid vaulted ceilings and oak floorboards. Upstairs in the Sussex barn there are large galleried landings which overlook the ground floor of the cottages and have superb views out of the full length windows. In each cottage there is a double room with en suite shower and loo, a twin room and a family bathroom. Downstairs is open plan with beautiful bespoke hand made oak kitchens ( fully equipped American fridge freezer with ice dispenser!, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave and oven )solid granite work areas and sumptuous leather sofas. Each cottage has its own south facing terrace complete with flower beds, garden furniture, bar-b-ques and glorious views. The cottages can all be hired together with plenty of space in the middle cottage "The Roost" for everybody to dine and socialise together and catering is available. Outside we have a beautifully warm outdoor pool, games room, childrens play area and in ground trampoline.
If you can tear yourselves away, Bardown Farm makes a perfect base for exploring Kent and Sussex. Nearby are numerous National Trust properties including Bodiam Castle and Batemans and for keen gardeners, Sissinghurst, Pashley Manor and Great Dixter are a delight. Just 19 miles away the large sandy beaches at Camber are ideal for young children. Enjoy a day trip to London or alternatively take the ferry to France.
